Delhi, the national capital of India has a large number of travel attractions, from the old heritage to museums. Geographically there are two parts in Delhi Old Delhi and New Delhi. Old Delhi is home to Shahjahanabad, the capital of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Mughal buildings are the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandi Chowk market. New Delhi is the creation of Mr. Lutyens, British architect who designed the architecture of the new capital.
Visit both Old Delhi and New Delhi. Explore the colorful markets of New Delhi and buy souvenirs. Lunch and dinner are served at exotic restaurants.
Transfer to Agra. It will take 4 hours. After checking into a hotel and take a break from time. Below your stay in Agra. This city was once the capital of the Mughals. Which houses one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Agra attracts millions of tourists from around the world. This city still has a medieval charm, with its Mughal buildings, curio shops. The first visit to Agra Fort giant once served as the main residential and administrative capital of the Mughal. The architecture of the fort has some Hindu elements. Durbar rooms, the residential palace of the king, gardens, Meena Bazar are worth seeing. Then proceed to the Taj Mahal. The sunset is the best time to have a view of the Taj Mahal and Taj looks beautiful at the time of sunset. His visit Agra would be incomplete if you skip a meal Mughal. Agra has some hereditary royal chefs. Enjoy a Mughal dish. After dinner, overnight.
Early morning take the train to Delhi. On arrival we will drive to Haridwar. After checking into a hotel.
Haridwar is situated on the banks of river Ganges, with many temples and ghats. This is one of the sites of Kumbh Mela, a religious festival held once in twelve years. Har Ki Pauri Ghat is the main river in the evening Aarti ceremony is spectacular. In the afternoon visit the Ghat and get a feel for the Aarti. Rishikesh is just 30 kms from Haridwar. After breakfast, at Rishikesh, arrival and check into the hotel, in an ashram or yoga. The rest of the time is at leisure. Overnight.
Rishikesh is the place of meditation of the gods, so called Tapo Bhumi. There are several legends connected with Rishikesh. It is the site of penance the sage Rishi Raibhya. It is said in the myth of the demon Madhu was defeated by Lord Vishnu here. The Laxman temple at the other side of the bank is related to the myth says Laxman Laxman and did penance here. Yet another legend says that Lord Shiva drinks the poison to leave during Samudra Manthan (churning of the ocean) at the site of Neelkanth Mahadev temple.
Take flight to Varanasi city, the holy city situated on the banks of river Ganges. This city is claimed as one of the oldest surviving cities in the world. A city par excellence with a wealth of temples and ghats, curio shops, Varanasi could be called a microcosm of India. Here you can see India's sadhus and devotees who make daily rituals on the banks of the Ganges and offer prayers to Ganga.
